What is Manuka Honey

Manuka Honey is a delicious dark golden honey with rich flavors of caramel and malt.

Honey is considered "manuka" if the nectar comes wholly or mainly from the Manuka plant or scientifically called Leptospermum scoparium. This tree is indigenous to New Zealand

You'll find Manuka Trees in some of the most remote alpine areas of New Zealand. Apiarists (or beekeepers) place hives in areas of high concentration of Manuka Trees. The Manuka flower blossoms over the months of November and December.
